Durban has over the years consistently produced a number of marine engineers who have made it from engineer cadet to chief engineer, with many taking up the senior technical positions ashore in the maritime industry.
Sanko marine engineering cadets below completed their seatime in the Sanko fleet and are now busy completing practical workshop training and final modules before preparation for their Samsa oral examination for the marine engineering class iv certificate of competency.
Engineer cadet Neeresh Bholai served his cadetship in the Sanko Summit and Sanko Mermaid whilst Raphael Konzapi elected to complete his full period of seatime on the Sanko Summit where he served for 15 months.
Both these aspirant marine engineers have performed very well and show potential to graduate and promote through the ranks, achieving chief engineer status in time.
We wish them success in their forthcoming examination and look forward to welcoming them back to MCS as 4th engineers.
